Celebrate God...
We worship our Lord and Savior through weekly services where we celebrate who Jesus is and how He has changed our lives. We sing praise to Him, worship Him through our tithes, and apply God's word to our lives daily. Join us for this weekly celebration.
Cultivate Growth...
The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and is the basis for any statements of faith. We at First Baptist adopt and accept the doctrinal statement of "The Baptist Faith and Message 2000" as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention. Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God, and this congregation enters into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.
Communicate the Gospel...
We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this church, in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spread of the gospel through all nations. Some details about me and my vision
My name is Ryan Beck and I am happy to serve as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church Carrier Mills. I have made it my life mission to preach the Word of God and do so in a way that is relevant to our society today. My wife, Christi, and I have been married for 7 years and we have two beautiful children, Natalie (4) and Jeremiah (1). I earned my Masters of Divinity at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in May of 2009.
My vision is to fulfill the Great Comission by reaching people for Christ by showing the love of Jesus with no strings attached. As we get to know you when you visit our church I hope that you see that vision come through in everything we do.
My life verse in Isaiah 40:31 which says, "they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings mlike eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

Ministries
Bible Study (Sundays _ 9:30am)...
We offer each Sunday Morning Bible Study classes for all ages. In these classes we teach the biblical revelation; reach people for Christ and church membership; stimulate and guild all church members in worship, witnessing, education, ministry, and application; and provide and interpret information regarding the work of the church and denomination. We have classes for all ages and everyone is welcome.
Children in Action (Sundays _ 6:00pm)...
Children ages Preschool through 6th grade join us every Sunday night for C.I.A. We are currently learning how to be kids in dicipleship as we memorize scripture and learn what the Bible says on how we should live. Don't miss it! Nursery care is also provided for those attending worship service.
Adult Descipleship (Wednesdays _ 6:00pm)....
Each Wednesday night we will apply some Christian Principles through discipleship training. We are currently exploring the topic "If you want to walk on water, you've got to get out of the Boat" This study by John Ortberg will challenge you to live out your faith. It runs from January 11th through February 29th. If you want more from God join us for this study.
Children's Choir (Wednesdays _ 6:00pm)...
If you love to sing and act you will not want to miss this group. Over the weeks ahead this group will be learning a musical for Christmas and prepare songs for worship specials. This group is for all kids pre-k through 12th grade. We look forward to seeing and hearing you soon.

The last Sunday in January we will launch our fourty days of prayer in prepartion for revival. This will be a night of corporate prayer for us as a church, our community, and our nation. Please join us for this special night.
If you want to make a difference in 2012 for Christ please plan on joining us for this great study on faith and how to put it into action. It is entited "If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat" and I believe it explains itself. This study will be starting on Wednesday January 11th _ 6pm. Childcare is provided.
